You have to enable manipulation mode, by swiping from left to right to the left on the screen (a cursor icon should appear), to select text etc. There are three different browser modes that do different things, one of the Maemo Summit slides have more information… or the MaemoUITeam YouTube channel.

Other than that, nice to see Wave working. Now I only need an invite… and a N900. :D

Wow, I really enjoyed watching this video. I'd like to know how the video recording and pictures match up to the n series (I have an n82, which i always carry for sole purpose of pictures/video recording).

If there is a qik or ustream program available, could you try a video of that.

How does the double leds compare to the n97 and n86.

If they make a 3g version compatible with US ATT and higher capacity battery, I couldn't resist getting one.

You have one of the most advanced smartphones to play with and you waste about 7 1/2 minutes showing how to change time and date?
I hope you can really test out the n900 and let us know the pros and cons of the unit along with special features and issues you'd like fixed or changed.
I did enjoy the tutorial though.

Steve, no, I don't think it does have Mac drivers so you couldn't necessarily use it as a dongle. But the wifi part will work fine.

Volume should be available through the "status area" (3G status/WLAN status/battery etc) next to the "app switcher" menu that is always available.

Yeah the volume options are on the right -- it just seems they don't work when you're in the browser (as they're used to zoom in and out of the page)

Did you find the volume eventually? I would have tapped on the clock/battery/signal area, but that's because I've used the older tablets.

I can see there's no volume icon there on your video, though there seems to be one on the N900 website. Does the icon disappear when the volume is turned all the way down? That'd be a bad UI decision.

Look at the video at 1:45 - Rafe pauses after pressing a menu item, expecting it to open. Again a few seconds later on the next menu. This is a mistake I do too, and I'm sure it's the same for others. Why? Because Nokia are stupid and make their touch UI inconsistent. In some places you have scrollbars, some places you don't, some places you click once, and others you have to click twice. Crap experience for users.
