Have found that mobypicture works well for this as it is not actually an app on the G1. Apps are all very well, but if you can configure a web app and just throw images at it to post on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter etc, why bother downloading something into the phone? Services like this and dabr are providing me with a very solid user experience I enjoy.

I agree with your points Dominic -- I often use Flickr's send-by-email function to get photos off my non-Shozu'd devices. The problem I've got is zero public support for this 'Flickr Upload' app I've bought. Not too much of a big deal for me, personally, but a serious problem for any normob who's expecting things to work.

Agreed, most mobile phone users are not going to want to mess about with email uploads. This is a shocking tale of poor development and support. I am all for the unregulated Android platform and app market, but it is going to throw up apps that are simply no good or maybe published by accident before they were finished.
It would be interesting to see if an app submitted to iTunes to retail at $1.99 with a fatal bug would get through, and subsequently how long it would last. In fact, I think this would be a worthy experiment to conduct.
